Almost everything I paint is within five miles of my home. The exceptions being pictures taken during holidays of our travels throughout B.C., and later painted with a healthy dose of imagination. Although based upon reality, my paintings quickly transform to a world where design and colour overrule what was actually there. The painting is much more important than the original image. I usually throw my original photo out after the first five minutes of painting. Within an hour, there is very little similarity between photo and painting. The beauty of painting is how we can let our imagination takeover and lead us to new places.

Current & Upcoming

I regret that due to the current situation with the COVID-19 virus, I will no longer be taking part in any upcoming art shows. Hopefully the situation will improve soon, but until then, I think it is best we all stay home, and stay safe.  I will be keeping this page updated as there are some online art shows in the works, so please feel free to keep checking in.
